Can you help me find a large softsided briefcase that is large enough to hold a full size music folder & batons, plus room for all of my classroom supplies (gradebook, planner, papers, etc) and a little more room. I travel between two schools and would like to carry one bag rather than a small briefcase and an armful of extras. My little rural area is very lacking and I can't seem to find one that will hold my neccesities and my music folder.

How 'bout a laptop bag?? They make those in all sorts of configurations these days, OfficeMax and Staples should have plenty to choose from.

The apparel company Lands End used to advertise such a briefcase made out of very durable nylon. I don't know if since the sale of the company to Sears Roebuck if they still do.

During the year I can fit in the big pocket both my sympho band (half full) and quintet (very full) folders in it PLUS: spiral-bound Arban, 2" binder with all my etude books, 3 loose etude books, and solos with a little room to spare. I keep a Dr. Beat 98, backup 'nome, and tuner in the next smallest pocket (with room to spare). The smaller pocket holds 3 mouthpieces, oils, and grease. All of this fits and I haven't even used all the pockets.

This looks like a great bag and I'm sure that this is a typo but "Overall Dimensions: 7.5" H x 15.75" W x 3" D" I'm guessing that it really isn't just 7.5" high. Are your sympho bnad and quintet folders the large band music folders? I'll probably order one of these today or tomorrow.

I have the perfect bag for you and you may have it for only $7 + whatever it takes to mail it to you. It is Swiss (I think) mil. surplus, and configures to 3 different sizes. Heavy rubberized fabric, metal clasps and snaps, heavy plastic zipper, leather strap handle can be moved to two positions.

Make it 13 x 16, 19x 16, or 25 x 16 depending on what you want to carry. On Sunday mine will be carrying my tuba stand (M&M collapsible), 2 music stands, various clips and fasteners, and my concert folder for an outdoor concert. One hand carries everything but the tuba!
When I bought them I had to buy 3.

I am a teacher and have used it to carry oversize teacher's manuals, student projects, etc. Really a handy case, but I only need one!

This guy married my niece and is good to her and the kids. His bags are so good that I bought more than one of each kind he makes. I give them to my sailor friends for Christmas presents. http://leroybags.com/
I brought a Leroy bag aboard a boat for a race and someone accidently knocked it overboard. We went out and raced for hours and upon returning to the harbor I noticed my bag floating out the channel with the outgoing tide.
We recovered it to find all my stuff in it to be bone dry.

Seriously, when I get that 42-footer I have my eye on, I won't be able to afford the bags; but, I'll wish I had some.
