Heres a helicon with some interesting slides...although, i dont know why hey thought it was a euphonium...thats what first caught my eye lol

That valve section looks more like it came from a valve trombone.

My guess would be a High Pitch to Low Pitch conversion of a downward facing tuning slide.

The valve slides all go up and out, perhaps to facilitate the NEEDED manipulation? :shock:
