Bob,

e-mail dj kennedy. I'm sure he's got a ton of slides hanging around and he's in southern Illinois (Chester). He could probably overnight the thing to you. Those 606s are a dime a dozen, though, and you could probably find a complete one for cheap. Call Kagan & Gaines or Quinlan & Fabish. I think there's also a band instrument store in Evanston, just north of you.

Bob,

I looked on Ebay this afternoon and viewed 18 postings for King 606s. Most (12 or so) are under $75 with some offered for $0.99. Just get one of those and you'll have a slide.

Since it has been a few weeks since you first posted, I'd also suggest contacting DJ in Chester, IL. Even if he sends it up via camel, you'll have it in a few days. I bought a Yammie 'bone hard case from him cheap. When it arrived (in a few days) I found that I received a almost brand new case.
