Top Euph Players Today

Hi, I was just wondering what everyone's opinions on who the top ten or so euphonium players are right now. Also, if anyone knows their locations and how difficult it would be to set up a lesson with any of them if they are in my area. Thanks, and let the opinion debate begin!

Honestly, I don't know how often he played that thing but I bet he was/is FANTASTIC on it and could teach you music til your eyes bled 16th notes.

As much as I respect Roger Bobo on tuba as well as his teaching ability, I suspect that he might not be interested in playing or teaching euphonium.

I'd like to add another Swiss player to th list, Roland Froescher (who along with David Childs is a "York" artist). Roland studied under Roger Bobo and Thomas Ruedhi and plays with Mr. Ruehdi in their professional tuba quartet. Another performer who is starting do do a fair bit of teaching and has done a great deal of recording is Adam Frey.

P.S. As I write this I am at the Leonard Falcone International Tuba and Euphonium Festival in michigan, so I am getting to hear a fair number of the new euphonium performers....
