Memphis drivers
I made a flying trip back home to Arkansas this weekend for a wedding and of course made my usual run through South Memphis. What is up with the speed limit ignorance in Shelby County? I was doing my normal 10 over and people were flying by me. All of the violators had Shelby County tags. I have also noticed the same thing in other cities and getting worse every year. The average speeds in Atlanta have climbed by 5 or 10 mph in the last 10 years. But nothing compares to what I saw Friday afternoon in Memphis. Some of these had to be triple digits. Is law enforcement simply overwhelmed? There do seem to be too many to catch. What up in Memphis in particular? Any ideas Joe?
I am fortunate to have a great job that feeds my family well, but music feeds my soul.

I've gassed up rental cars there, and it scared the padooey out of me. Never again.bloke wrote:btw, Several travelers who rented cars at the airport, and gased them back up on Airways Blvd. before turning them back in to the rental place, have been killed.
