I remember a trip I took to Oceanside (California) from our home in Riverside a few years ago with my ex-wife when we took the girls to the beach. One of the neighboring towns, San Marcos, has a very unusual AM radio station, KKSM, which will seemingly play anything. For 15 minutes, they played the greatest hits of the Beach Boys and the Turtles, as sung by the Red Army Chorus!
Mebbe one of these days the USA record ninnies will figure out that the T&A thing gets old after a while. Well OK. Not completely old, but sort of. But you can't see T&A when listening to the CD. Unless you're at the nude beach. But I live in Oklahoma where we don't have a lot of beach. Bitching yes. Beach no. However, I'm looking for one of those witch covens where they do that weird T&A stuff. But they probably won't let me just sit around and watch and listen to CDs if I join. If the Eroica Trio wore string bikinis, I might buy one of their albums. But I bet they're starting to get old and flabby now. Which, of course, is the big problem with classical music: Who wants to listen to a bunch of flabby musicians?
I just looked on Amazon, and these Leningrad Cowboys have a substantial discography. Unfortunately, they are only available from the Marketplace vendors; and they want you to bend over and get reamed with the wire brush.
I checked cdbaby too. They usually have off the wall stuff. But no luck there.
