The 622 is exactly the same as the 621 except that the valves are more ergonomically positioned, which would be a blessing. Bobo had it gold plated and added a larger bell later but it is still basically a 621.

I believe that there is a picture of it on Bobs's website (rogerbobo.com). It was for sale some months ago but I contacted Mr. Bobo just after he'd sold it.

It's hard to do without pictures but I'll try.

On the 621, the valves are aligned almost straight up and down with the instrument. Your right hand naturally comes to the valves at an angle from below.

This means that to make your finger hit 3rd and 4th valves you have to bend your hand down at the wrist. This is bad but what makes it worse is that most people don't hold an instrument vertically, they tilt it slightly to the left which means the valves are tilted from 10 to 50 degrees off vertical.

To compensate, you have to bend your right hand at the wrist even more which stretches the tendons more than any other task you do. It's a great set-up for tendenitus or CTS.

Bobo had the valves moved so that shen the horn is tilted, the valves align with the right hand in a more natural position.

One of the people that runs that site seems to be close to Roger Bobo and, from what I understand, kind of managed the sale of many of his instruments, or at least took care of posting them online.

The site that I previously linked to has descriptions of all the different instruments that Roger Bobo decided to sell upon his retirement.

I don't think he does.

There is another article (I think on the same site...tubanews) about his retirement.

From what I recall, he is going into conducting and still teaches a lot.

If what I remember is correct, Roger or Emily said that he picks up a horn once a year at Domaine Forget to play Morning Song.

Is this true?? Dunno. Just what I heard.
