4-valve, CC, Cerveny Piggy for sale in Western PA. You can make arrangements with me to come and play it. I am not inclined to ship it. It comes with a mouthpiece and soft bag. The link is to a stock photo. Actual photos to come by the weekend.

I have realized that I left some information out of my original post--age, condition, and price.

Age....To put an age on it would be pure speculation as there is no serial number. However, I believe it to be somewhat newer according to the shape of the valve levers.

Condition...The horn is in good shape with some typical wear. It has two small dents on the bottom bow, but neither seems to have affected the tone or intonation.

Price...I am pricing the horn to sell at $2000 firm, picked up in Grove City, PA 16127

George, did you sell your Piggy, is it going out for a test drive, or are you just getting all of your bases covered? Just curious. I had a love affair with one of these for my three years in the Army and wanted one of my own quite a bit. The good ones are fun instruments to play.

Peanuts are annoying, but, sometimes that's what's easily attainable to folks. If you must use the peanuts, at least have the common sense to cover the bell FIRST (put the entire horn in a giant bag or something). It took quite a bit of time to get all of the peanuts out of a horn that I recently purchased because the seller did not cover the bell at all. It should be noted that, with only peanuts protecting the horn in a U-Haul wardrobe box, the horn arrived in the same shape in which it left (based on photos I saw before my purchase) via UPS ground.

I have used peanuts in the past too. i also keep all the little air cushin=ons that I received. My son gets his medcation int he mail in a small styrofoam cooler and there is always two ro three of them in there with it.

Anyway, I just bought a bass bone on ebay and it was sent to me and packed very well. it was in its case and the case was in a box filled with styrofoam peanuts. They must have melted or gotten wet or something because all over the case there were little white remains of the peasnuts that stuck to the case. This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I had to use goo gone to get the residue off.
