Suite for Unaccompanied Tuba Tempo Markings

Post by phoenix »

How fast should I be playing these movements? I need to prepare this for my Eastman audition in the winter. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone have any ideas now that I've specified the composer?

Here's my best guess:

Movement I - approx. mm=112
Movement 2 - approx. mm=152
Movement 3 - I haven't yet found the right "feel" for this movement
Movement 4 - approx. mm=152

Just one man's opinion....

Just to muddy the waters, here's what I used --

Mvt 1 - 134
Mvt 2 - 130
Mvt 3 - 86
Mvt 4 - 150
