Friends, here is a horn with substance! I'll cut 'n' paste the description:
"This is a beautiful 4-valve Martin tuba with two different bells. This horn measures 43" tall and weighs about 32 lbs. The valve's are tight and fast and all slides work well. The upright bell is from a Meinl-Weston bell that has been cut to the correct length. The work was performed by Martin Wik. The diameter of the upright bell is 19 1/2". The bell front bell is 24" in diameter and is original to the horn. We used the collar from the bell front bell for the upright bell, and then Harvey Hartman manufactured another collar to put back on the bell front bell. Harvey also did some great work with dents, dings, and finishing. There are a few dings and dents but they are on the back side of the horn and hardly noticeable. It also comes with a case for the tuba, and a case for the bell front bell. No case for the upright bell. This horn also includes the two thumb-screw adjusting bits. Shipping to lower 48 states only. Postal money orders only - sorry no PayPal."
Starting price of $3.2K. No bidders yet...
