too large of a mouthpiece on a Euph?

Post by Jeffrey Hicks »

I have a euphonium and the only mouthpiece I have is an old E-z Tone that looks like a small shank tuba mouthpiece. Is it too large? I have ordered a 5G bass trombone mouthpiece to at least move in the right direction hopefully.

I don't know about EZ tone, but 5G is a common euph size. If you're a tuba player you might want something bigger... Here is my new favorite mouthpiece comparison chart:

the Euph in question is a DEG Dynasty G 3 valve bugle. It has a bass trombone receiver.
