Nope, Nicholas was Leonard's brother. Former director of bands at the University of Michigan, and composer of the Mazurka for solo euphonium (the reason I'm looking for the dates). I'm sure someone up at U of M can find them, but I thought I'd consult this illustrious forum first, or at least after scanning through the first 8 pages or so of Google results.

...and, yes, I did check the archives.

Info obtained from Beryl Falcone...

"Nicholas Dominic Falcone was born in Roseto Valfortore, Italy Sept 20,1892. He died in Ann Arbor on Feb 11, 1981."
