While I have NOT played this particular tuba, I have played 2 other HB1P's of similar vintage and they were fabulous.

I can say that I owned an incredible 2P that was 3 numbers off on the serial as this. That particular 2P had a very prominent role in a major orchestra for many years. And there is another 2P out there that is 1 number off from the horn in this ad that is AMAZING.....also once owned by a tuba 'heavy'.

Moral of the story......

Hirsbrunners of this vintage are very special and are particularly hard to come by. These handmade instruments of Peter Sr are magical.
