Is There Any Harm...
in turning off an entire component stereo system (receiver and cd plyr) while the cd is still playing? (The cd power is connected the switched power outlet in the receiver.) I do this, but still wonder if there is any long or short term damage to anything. Thanks forn any info you can provide.

Shouldn't be a problem. It's not like killing the power on your computer while the HDD is being accessed -- where it's possible for a write command to mess something up.John Caves wrote: any harm in turning off an entire component stereo system (receiver and cd plyr) while the cd is still playing?
