What's a good mouthpiece for a tuba player playing a euph?
I would 'like':
-wide inside dimeter
-flat, narrow rim
-medium shank (it's for a 3 valver)
Other than that, I really don't know euph mouthpieces like I do know mouthpieces for the tuba, so cup depth/backbore/etc. is just ( guesswork)? A couple of the Bach trombone mouthpieces still feel oddly small (it's also the thicker rim), but just looking for something that dosen't require a huge deal of adjusting (as I switch back and forth a couple times in an hour).
Is it possible to get a bass trombone mouthpiece with a tenor shank?
Any thoughts?

mouthpieces
Unless you are in a huge rush, you would do well to get to a tuba-euphonium conference, buddy up with someone who knows the difference, and plug & play for an hour or so. FWIW, I have played a Schilkle 52D for twenty-five years, and I don't foresee a need to change. It's "only" 26 mm, and it has a rounder rim than you are probably looking for, but don't assume that you need width just because you are a tuba major. You might find that you actually need to tighten up the size in order to offset your naturally more relaxed and open embouchure.
