What is this "bump"???

I am new to this forum (and forums in general). I've been seeing the word "bump" all over the place, normally as the only contents of a post. Could someone please explain?

If we want somthing to go back to the top of the list, we just post "bump" to "Bump it up to the top."

As each person posts, that thread is moved to the top of the index. So, you can see that after awhile, your thread will go farther and farther down. So to bring it back to the top to get more attention, someone, usually the person starting the thread, posts a new entry on the thread, "Bump," so it will literally get bumped back to the top. And by using the word bump, we all know that is the reason instead of some other substantive post, like this one.

Another important staple of TubeNet is horn dorn. Horn dorn consists of, more or less, tuba pictures. If you buy, sell, reconstruct, make, or see a pretty tuba, it is customary to post gratuitous pictures here for the TNFJ (TubeNet Freak Jury) to slobber over.

Let's clear this matter up. Only a few select people in the world have a world class sound. They were given this sound by God himself. Many people have spent countless hours trying to attain such a sound, but this is an impossibility. It count only be granted the Big Guy and no one else.

Now we must understand that there are some who think they have a world class sound....

Actually I only posted that facetiously (Is that spelling even close?) since I already have one. It is here in my muisc room somewhere. I just had it the other day.

Neither Chrysler nor Jaguar would ever admit it, but a few years ago I was helping a friend of mine rebuild the differential to his Dodge 4X4. He also has an E-type coupe, and we also helped each other on that.

As we were working on the Dodge, we both basically said "Hmm" at the same time and looked at each other. Then we got our shop books out and he pulled his Jaguar differential pan gasket he was going to install when he refreshed the anti-slip plates in his Jaguar differential. The Jaguar and Dodge gaskets were identical. The number of plates were identical. The lube additive was incredibly similar. Both had the warnings not to mix & match with anything else. the exploded view shop book drawing was too close to be coincidence.

What are the two differentials that keep holding their own, regardless of make, model or generation of hot rodding? Jaguar & Dana. Go figure:
