Petrushka 1947 version

Post by Wyvern »

Can anyone help me with a tuba part for the 1947 version of Stravinsky Petrushka? I have the 1912 version, but I believe there are some differences, so don't want to be practicing the wrong part!

Thanks for any help.

I know the 5/8 lick is down the octave in the later version of petrushka (thought I may have that backwards). I'm not aware of any other major changes other then I think a few small markings at the bear solo.

as I recall the Bear Solo is barred differently as well - sounds the same - just looks different.

I believe the Torchinsky book has the earlier version but does include a description of the differences.
