My sister swears by one, but I can't get past the nasty factor.

I watched the video. I have to say that a person could do the same thing with an enema bag.

Speaking of nasal problems... anyone know about nasal polyps?
I have a really bad case of it and have to get cleaned out for the 3rd time in 5 years; doctor says it's looking better though.
I just really hate when they start bothering me and it affects my playing. :x

I use it and it helps keep my open. I do it before bed and I feel like I sleep a little better too. I also use the Neti pot wash plus drops to help kill off any funky stuff up there.

If I recall the recipe correctly ...
Take a beaker of hydrochloric acid.
Toss in some manganese dioxide.
Heat.

It should clear those sinuses right up.

It makes chlorine gas.

I used this for a few months a year ago- fill it with fairly strong salt water and run it through your nose in the shower. I used it almost every morning for a few months, but didn't really find that it made a difference for me. It sure was an interesting experience, though.

When I need my nose to be really open, for a lot of circular breathing, I use an over the counter nose spray (I forget the name now, some complicated medical name). It works really well, but you can only use it for a few days or weeks at a time, or else it loses its effectiveness as your body gets used to it.

I use a rubber bulb, not the pot. I use warm water with some salt in it. Straight tap water is a bit irritating up the nose. I fill the bulb and then snort in while squeezing the bulb. After my dad has nasal surgery he was advised to use a water pick up his nose! He recomended the salt water up the nose to me

I've been using a netti pot and salt water for about a year, whenever I start to get some sinus stuff going. It isn't so difficult or unpleasant, and I think maybe it helps. At any rate, it sure does clear out the nasal passages.

On a related note- I've got a deviated septem (broken nose), so sniff breathing is challenging. Last weekend our brass band played a piece that required a lot of sniff breathing. I tried a nose strip and it really helped.
