A quick, toll-free call to the WWBW just revealed that the price of a new one is $4695. Adding the cost of a Reunion Blues gig bag would bring the total to around $5,000, conservatively. $3,600 is not the same as $5,000. If you are interested in the horn, I'd be glad to answer any questions that you may have, if you'll e-mail me privately. If you are simply concerned about price-gouging in general, please check your facts before sounding the alarm -- especially in a public forum, where one's reputation could be called into question.TubaDude wrote: You can get a brand new one through WWBW for about the same price.

Well, I stand corrected. Back two years ago when I bought my silver tu330ccs I did have to pay just over 4k (because of some plating bubbling which is probably less noticable than the scratches mentioned above) and I got a brand new RB leather bag that fits like a glove for about 150.00 bucks. But after all, I took the time to drive the 900+ miles up there, spent a day there testing horns, and developing a rappore with the great staff up there, I didn't just call an 800 number to get a "quick" price quote.
Good luck on the sale of your horn,

My math is pretty dead on:
It was 900 miles total which true I did 8 hours each way, but I was heading up that way anyway. 900milesx0.36/mile = $324.00
The opportunity to test about 30 of the the best horns on the market...Priceless.
The tips and tricks learned by talking to the staff...Priceless.
The conversations with the very knowledgable staff...Priceless.
Getting back up to the Chicago area to catch up with my old musician buddies that I used to gig with...Priceless.
Being able to get to a gig in Hanibal Missouri on all 4 lane instead of twisty-turny Missouri back roads...Priceless.
