The recordings are via a Sennheiser 602 mic especially for low instruments, via a pre amp, straight onto a Sharp minidisc recorder on manual settings.
The master full size CD is made on a friends Sony digital copier and further copies are made on my computer.
They are converted from mp3 to wma files (free download package) for the Aciplanet homepage and can be done at various bitrates for varying quality and file size.

Hi Charley,
Thanks so much for all your 'plugging', and please
pass on my appreciation to your friend for his
exposure.
I have listened to the CD a few times now and I never
realised how lyrical the euphonium can sound, with
such a rich mellow texture. It really creates a lot of
colours in my mind.
As a result I have decided to write a piece especially
for the instrument. I think it will initially have
small accompaniment, and I may later arrange for small
orchestra.I'll let you know how I get on in the 'not
too distant future'!!
Once again thanks for all your help.
Regards,
Stuart Hyson

Hi Dan,
I did it myself for our group, the other march movement will also work well but the middle slow one is a bit more complicated.

Just added another track, a short and evocative encore piece originally for clarinet, but it worked so well, it's now published by Warwick Music.
In the centre section, composer John Robert Brown puts the two players 1 quaver beat apart in an upbeat tempo.
Great fun;
