Stolen Yamaha YCB-822

Post by TheBerlinerTuba »

Hello there fellow tubists,
I'm posting this for a friend of mine whose tuba was stolen by airport\airline workers. He was traveling between Valencia, Spain and Hannover, Germany. It never showed up and perhaps never even got onto the plane. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone has any information about this tuba, etc, please message me and I'll pass it along.
It's a silver Yamaha 822 4 piston, 1 rotor CC tuba. It has a big dent where the bottom bow and top bow meet. I dont have the serial number or any pics yet, but will update soon.
Thanks

I have no idea the details behind this, but if you don't mind me asking - what airline was he traveling with? I had a recent bad experience where my horn was lost for 10 days while traveling between Spain and Germany enroute to the US. It was very stressful, but eventually it showed up unscathed. Good luck to your friend, and I hope it turns up for him.

So very sad.

A friend of mine had his bass trombone stolen by airline workers. What they can do is delete the record from the roster so they can take your horn and the airline won't have any data records. He found his pawned on the west side of Chicago. F%#kers.

Paper trail people... paper trail... it's the only way he got it back.
