Help me find a home for my "seat"

Post by Carroll »

I find myself in possession of 100 of these theatre style chairs. They are in an unused church and the new owner wants them gone so he can tear the building down for lumber. They are in gangs of five, but can be easily reconfigured to one or fifteen. I am not looking to sell them. They are located in Northern Middle Tennessee (Gainesboro).

There are 32 ends, 100 seats, 60 some odd internal arms. These two seats were among the worst and I cleaned them up with some 409 and a rag. The seating area is vinyl and the sides are fabric. About half have book racks on the back, about half have a visitation card holder.

If you know of someone who could use some or all of these, let me know.

Looks like BlokeStock® ingredients!!! :D
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

You guys are right - Perfect for BlokeStock! I think he could mount a whole heap of them on the haywagon.

Now, is there enough room to play a BAT while sitting in these? Get a bank of five for a quintet? Cozy, eh?

Yeah, but imagine boxing and shipping those cast iron arms and 3/4" plywood backs. Not to mention all the disassembly required to break them down. I want to be philanthropic not entrepreneurial.

But thanks for the suggestion.

Not to mention the potential buyer's remorse when said person's signficant other finds out, "You bought WHAT!??? And it's costing you WHAT to have them shipped!???"

 :P

Get some lumber, and build yourself a nice set of bleachers in the back yard. It may be fairly useless, but how many people can say they have their very own 100-seat set of bleachers?

incidently, at Woodstock the warning was "The brown acid is not necessarily good. But, it's your trip."

Just like James Cagney never said "you dirty rat" in a movie...
