Clean Fountains!

The water fountains here at my school are just filthy, how do I get them cleaned?

No really, I'm trying to find a clean copy of Fountains. As many of you know, the one that was scanned into the Cherry CD is marked up. Has anyone got a clean .pdf that they might be willing to e-mail me?

Now that you mention it I have never seen a "clean" fountains or planets. Even the ones not on the cherry cd have always been very.... creatively decorated.

NO. The fountains has a ton of poorly organized breath markings. The planets contains funny, albeit odd commentary.

I wanted the same thing and so I ordered the tuba part through Hickey's. It was only five bucks.

There is the possibility to tipp-ex (or whatever this white stuff found on stupid peopleÂ´s computer screens is called in the US) out the funny stuff, make TWO good Xeroxes of the part (one for your archive and one to add YOUR OWN funny stuff to) and be done with it.

Considering the time you spend NOT practising the part, Scott SutherlandÂ´s approach surely is the most time saving and best-overall approach to this.
GregÂ´s approach of writing it out from the score has the charm of learning the piece in the process, along with the meditative side to it.

I was also frustrated with my fourth or fifth generation photocopy - so I recopied the part.

You can find a PDF for free download here:

Click on the 'Tuba Parts' link half way down the page on the right and then click on the title. I will be adding some other goodies soon.

If anyone finds a problem on the part, please let me know - I will correct and repost as soon as possible.

Doug Yeo recommends the "write it out" method, for good reason. You learn tha part. Write it from the score, moreover, and you'll know what's going on elsewhere.

You can buy the part through Kalmus or Hickey's for a few dollars.

I'll second that! For all the people that haven't had the chance to meet Mike OR play his music, you are really missing out.

I bought my current project horn off of him and it was a great experience.
