In the one band arrangement I have heard, I believe it was the bari sax that got the Bydlo solo. I didn't like it...

I nominate the theremin to perform the Bydlo solo. It's the original air guitar. I can see the game now, "Theremin Hero."

I don't have the answer for this yet . We didn't play it this week and we don't have a rehersal next . The next is scheduled the week after next . I'll let you know then .

In the arrangement we did last year it was played by the principal Euphonium - she had left her accordion at home so had to wing it in the concert on Euphonium.

Actually, I think a combination of theremin and contrabass saxophone would do the trick.

We finaly ran through the Bydlo section tonight . The winner is .....

the french horns got it ...life just isn't fair sometimes . :cry:

Seriously,

I WANT one of these! We have a local guy with a nicely restored double-bell euphonium, and he showed up with it at the brass band and is being allowed to play it. I couldn't top him with this, but I bet it would be a tie.
