Piston Or valve ??? (English AnD FRANCAIS)

I have some question for you.

Is it more easier to play a tuba with valve or a tuba with piston?

I know that some people tell that with the valve you can play more faster ........ and with piston the slur is very more easier

When it comes right down to it, it's personal preference. What you really want is a good (in your ideals) horn.

As with instruments as a whole, there is no "better" valve-type. If there was, why would horns be made in any other way?

Hey, Rubberlips -- I resemble that remark! Indeed, when I purchased a 4-valve BBb for university community band, one main reason for going rotary was for that very reason - ergonomics of the right hand and configuring the paddles in all axes (length, spread, and rise) to fit my right hand. You will note my other two are 3-valve horns, and smaller bore & valves at that, to minimize spread.
