Grundman's Tuba Rhapsody!
You'll have to really work on it, though. It's not easy.
Need suggestions for a recital

repertoire
This is reaching back a ways, but the Scherzo Pomposo by Harold Walters is very fun to play and listen to, while being very solidly in the intermediate range and skill level. Might be worth a look.

It's called Concertino for Tubadjwesp wrote:James Curnow has got one that sounds good, sounds more difficult than it is, and has a good (fairly easy accompaniment). Got a little muted section too (which gets middle schoolers eyes really big when you whip that thing out)
The name is skipping me currently, but it is good stuff.

Pomposo
For my part, I am fast approaching middle age. I performed Scherzo Pomoposo in 1973 and 1974, including winning a scholarship competition with it. Maybe I should reprint it a la Steven Shoop and make a killing?tredonme wrote:How old are you guys anyway??? Just called JW Pepper and was told Scherzo Pomposo is permanently out of print.Chuck Jackson wrote:Man, does that take me back, all the way to 1975. Thanks for the memories.Scherzo Pomposo by Harold Walters
