Antique Cerveny Eb *Look at the valves*

Post by armytuba »

First, check out this auction on the 'bay, making sure to study the rotary valves:

Secondly, check out this photo of a Willson BBb with ROTAX valves:

Kinda makes you wonder if Willson got its ROTAX idea from earlier model tubas like the antique Cerveny.

Then again, you can go all the way back to the civil war to find american-made tubas with that same 90° sort of action...

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

At first sight of the price, the key, and the maker I said "good luck" getting a bid. Now that I have seen the pictures I am counting my pennies. Where the heck has this thing been hiding?

Awesome valves, but this entire tuba looks very cool too.

Where the heck did you find that Willson Pic? Their own site only lists 4 models of tuba!

Maybe it's the angle or the lighting, but that horn looks totally out of proportion to me.
