Favorite beer
Something I'm sure the 'of age' people can weigh in on. What is your favorite beer?
And if you feel like it, why?

I second the guiness although, since i am in texas, i will say that i would put these four just ahead:
1.) Ziegenbock - My perfect beer. described as a dark ale it's very smooth and good with just about any food.
2.) Shinerbock - Like ziegen but less smooth.
3.) Shiner Heffefizen (sp?) - Like shiner but has a citrus taste
4.) Blue Moon - like the heff but more citrus.

I generally don't drink beer (wines are my choice), EXCEPT when I'm travelling. In 2005, while on a tour with The Rhine Valley Brass, a local German folk band, my wife and I stopped in Berchtesgaden after a tour of Hitler's 'Eagles Nest'. I asked for a 'local beer' and the bargirl drew me a beer and presented it to me in crock mug inscribed '900 Jahre Berchtesgaden 1102-2002'. I asked what it was all about and she said that brewery had been in operation for 900 years. The beer I was served was some sort of 'commemorative' brew. Needless to say, it was absolutely outstanding! I bought the mug and brought it back with me. I've never found another beer that was worthy of being in that mug!

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

My favorite used to be an Indian beer called Taj Mahal. (which they pronounced Dajh Mahl) but....they changed it about ten years ago or so, watered it down, made it more "American" I guess, and now it's not worth drinking.
I can't STAND Corona or any other watery-weak "beer" that tastes like panther pee. And Bud is about on the bottom of the heap.
