Strange for us too coming from Ontario, CA!
I leave for work in Tulsa at 4am and it was clear with no snow. A couple hours later when the sun came up I noticed a dusting of snow. Owasso is 15mi north of Tulsa and at about 6:30am when I talked to my wife she said there was 3in of snow at home and that it had stopped snowing. So from 4 to 6:30am it had dumped 3in of the pretty white stuff before moving on... Amazing! She said they had to take about a 10mi break before she left for work so our 3yr old could play in the snow!!!
Our kids have missed the opportunity to play with the snow sleds they got for Xmas because we've had so little snow this year. However, I've heard that March can sometimes be a big month for snow...
I bet I run my car AC at least once a week all winter, except for maybe a week or two in December. The sun is hot here, and if you don't put the reflector-thingy in your windshield the car just heats up.
I won't mention what happens to your car in June when it is 112 outside anyway, and you forget to put up the reflector-thingy.
It was riding a motorcycle home in the summer here wearing a helmet, that I found out that eyelids actually do sweat.
A 5:02 PST I am in shorts on my patio having a cold beer waiting for the grill to get hot. 72 in Las Vegas. I hate snow, that's why I'm here. We may be without water by 2021, but I'm lovin' it now. Of course in July it will be 115 and I'll either be in Hilton Head, SC or Stillwater, NY, but hey, it's a dry heat.
We live as far South as is possible to have seasons. Three hundred miles further South is summer all the time with rare exceptions - starting at about Ocala, Florida.
Our winters are so mild that snowbirds from Michigan are our prime tourist market during the coldest months.
We deal with sweltering summers by wearing less and having air conditioning everywhere.
Green Bay has had 79.4 inches of snow so far this winter. We've had a tad more here. There is so much snow, that they've hauled it away in dump trucks because the streets were getting to narrow. Twice.
Right now 1 F above. Today's high will be a balmy 19F.
More snow next week? Bring it on!!!

Nope, sorry. Ski season is over, Little Leauge season is around the corner, I'm all done with the snow, thank you.

Well, It's over now. We wound up with over 12 inches. I had to let the bulldog out the garage so she could "squat" in the plowed street because the snow was too deep in the back yard with the drifts.
New Breed, Old Breed! It doesn't matter so long as it's the Marine Breed!

you got off lucky. I had to run the snow thrower 3 times since Friday afternoon around 5pm. Officially, we had 10" by 11am today, then it started snowing hard again. I would have to guess we got at least 16-18 inches.
