Retired high school physics teacher - the best possible day gig for a musician! I had the privilege of working with mostly respectful and bright kids for 35 years, with lots of holidays and vacations, and hardly anyone ever tried to tell me how to do my job. Now I can afford to be a musician full-time.

John's a cool guy (I'm putting the fact that he's a trombone player aside). My cube is actually next to his.Chuck Jackson wrote:Cool. I really like John Zeck. Play list hasn't been the same since Sylvester left. Thanks.C24 is a separate thing. Same building though.

Sylvester is still here, he just works for Performance Today. One of the nicest guys you'll ever meet.

well.. I like drinking coffee. I play tuba from time to time.... I fix instruments for money.
I wake up early to go to school. I hate it (school) for the most part because it interferes with my practice time. Sometimes, I get really adventurous, and skip classes to spend more time in the practice room.

For 35 years I was a Computer Programmer for the US Department of Defense (most of the time with Air Force) specializing in installation, maintenance, modification, problem diagnosis, operator/user education, performance measurement and improvement of large IBM mainframe operating systems. Called "Systems Programmer" in the business or Syspro for short.
I retired in 1999 but was still being recalled for a year to address Y2K issues.
