Not as long as the Susato suite (at least as I remember it), the Heinrich Schütz Sinfonia for the Cantata "Die sieben Worte Jesu Christi am Kreuz" may be part of a solution.
There have been added a 2-part improvisation to the original 5 part setting for 5 viols.
I have just uploaded the corrected version for 10 piece brass (the other versions have one wrong note and one wrong chord, which have been told of in an Errata notification at my download page).

You could use the 10 piece version for your purpose in this way:
A piccolo trumpet in A and a trumpet in D play the embellishing improvisations.
A trumpet and a flugelhorn in Bb plus the first horn play the 1st tutti part from the Bb trumpet part.
A horn plus a trombone play the 2nd part from the respective playing scores.
A horn plus a trombone play the 3rd part from the respective playing scores.
A horn plus a trombone play the 4th part from the respective playing scores. Which will be the low Bb treble clef score intended for brass band trombones. But in that tempo a Bb basso transposition should pose no problem.
The bass trombone and the tuba play the bass line in octaves.
There is no percussion part, but the harp can play the continuo chords from the guitar part.

Does it have to be Renaissance? There are a lot of good modern pieces out there:
Plog: Mini Variations on Amazing Grace
Rautavarra: A Requiem in Our Time
Tomasi: Fanfares Liturgiques
A couple of Philip Jones Arrangments (4 tpt, 1 horn, 4 tbn, tuba):
Earl of Oxford's March
Gervaise/Reeve: early French Music
Mike Allen has done some good Renn/Baroque arangements for Boulder Brass (4 tpt, 2 horn, 3 tbe, euph, tuba)

Good Luck with the Concert

Re: Substitute for Susato
If the objective is to show off an orchestral brass section, then I would suggest the Fanfare from La Peri by Dukas. Definitely not Renaissance, but still far from being wrong-note music. But it's only about a minute and a half long.David Mills wrote:Helping with repertoire for Chamber orchestra series .Maestro wants a brass ensemble piece using 4 trpts, 4horns 4 trbs tuba and possibly perc.
Susato(P Jones) is perfect but overplayed here. Any other Renaissance arr. you might suggest? Thanks, Dave Mills tubist and librarian in Charlotte ps other than Gabrieli
Rick "who can also think of a few Gabrieli canzonas for 12-piece brass ensemble, though usually played more often than the Susato" Denney

Modern and old
Rautavarra: A Requiem in Our Time
(snip)
A couple of Philip Jones Arrangments (4 tpt, 1 horn, 4 tbn, tuba):
Earl of Oxford's March
Rautavara is interesting but takes a baritone/euph.
Earl of Oxford's March is extremely good in the brass band version, which I played some 25 years ago. If the complexity of that arrangement also appears in the 10 piece version, then PJ was an arranger of yet another stellar magnitude.

Brass Music
Hey Dave, hope all is well. I recommend the William Byrd Suite which includes the Earle of Oxford March arranged for the PBJE. If you can venture into the Baroque era, I suggest the Fireworks Suite arrangement also for the PBJE. I conducted it in DC a couple of months ago and the players and the crowd seemed to really enjoy it. Let me know if you want to borrow the music.
Take it easy.
