odd pieces available easily

Post by tubaspmcc »

OK, here's the situation:
My concert band has a gig on Wednesday at our local cathedral but has just been ordered to fly most of it's members across the country for a funeral.
Those that are left have been asked to put something together for our loyal followers. Does anyone have any ideas for pieces I could download off the net?

Here's what we might have left:
flute, clarinet, clarinet/vocal, vocal, 2xsax, sax/guitar, horn, trumpet, tuba, organ/piano, percussion.

Any ideas that include tuba would be fantastic.
(btw-I don't think trad jazz quite cuts the mustard here)

Thanks,

Simon

Klaus has a bunch of stuff arranged for a bunch of odd instrumentation

A lot of it is church music. You should join his yahoo groups or contact him directly on tubenet. Sounds like it might help you out.

He's a great arranger, great teacher, and a great guy!

Thanks djwesp for that reminder - I have just rejoined the Yorkmaster groups (lost previous login) and Klaus has given me some fantastic programming ideas - THANKS KLAUS - I can't wait until Monday morning now to try some of these pieces.

p.s. if anyone from Sydney is free Wed lunchtime, they should come to St Andrew's Cathedral for a free / gold coin donation concert.
