I am hosting yet again a two-week workshop along with Boston University at their Tanglewood Institute. There is still room for more players. Here is the official blurb and a link to the B.U.T.I. site, which has more info, and contact information.
Hope to see you there! Please contact my assistant for the 2008 workshop, Zach DeVries with any questions at:

Tuba & Euphonium Workshop
Ages 15 or older
The 2008 Boston University Tanglewood Institute Tuba & Euphonium Workshop will be held under the direction of Boston Symphony Orchestra principal tuba Mike Roylance.
Through individualized attention in daily class settings, the workshop will address the technical and musical aspects of playing the tuba and euphonium. Master classes offered by the director will focus on technique, solo repertoire, orchestral excerpts, and audition preparation.
As an integral component of the workshop, students will also be organized into and coached in quartets and a tuba-euphonium choir. Weekly performance classes will provide additional opportunities for students to develop and refine their stage presence, audition, and recital skills.

Please allow me to BUMP in to endorse the 2008 BUTI Tuba-Euphonium Workshop:
I was fortunate to work as Mike Roylance's assistant during the 2006 workshop. This event is an incredible opportunity to witness one of the world's finest tubists continually retain and refine the fundamentals of tuba playing on a daily basis. Mr Roylance sets a standard with the workshop's fundamentals sessions making it lucid how he achieves such a high level.
Not mentioned on the BUTI blurb are the solo recitals offered by each of the BU College of Fine Arts Faculty. In addition to Mike Roylance, participants will be able to hear full recitals by faculty Terry Everson (trumpet), Eric Ruske (horn), and Don Lucas (trombone). These recitals alone would make the BUTI extremely worthwhile.
Student performance opportunities are numerous and balance out the teaching and coaching sessions quite well. Feel free to PM me or Zach DeVries with any questions about the Workshop.
