Original Conn Helleberg. I've heard some rumor that they play perfectly on their own!
I must have purchased a defective one. Mine makes a lot of mistakes, and doesn't always play with a world class sound.

They may have shipped you an "extra crispy" one by mistake -- I tried one of those once, and the sound was definitely crunchy!

Your sound is too crunchy?
You probably had your tuba turned up to 11, then.

I, for one, would suggest the sainted Conn Helleberg, but made of depleted uranium. Brass is, like, soooooooo passe.

I tried one of the early ones (before WWBW started selling them), liked how it played, and had a "special" made from crystal purple ABS:

It's a good mouthpiece -- plays well throughout the instrument's (and player's) range. Well worth having (especially at that price)! :D

Thanks, Mr. Holtz. That pretty much summed up the tubenet troll populace. Maybe they all just wished they were on trpthrld, and could have these kinds of yucks on a near DAILY basis. Guess we picked the wrong instrument.

Let's try to be serious first, respectful second and humorous last.

Just a thought,

I STILL want anodized aluminum valve caps...
