Although the slovenly Michael Moore tried to put him on the spot over the NRA and gun control, Heston all but came across as a full-blown racist. Even the opportunistic Moore tried to steer him in another direction. I lost a lot of respect for Mr. Heston that day.

Anyhow, Big Chuck is gone and didn't linger on too long with Alzheimer's. Not so much for his sake but for his family and caretakers....
