It reminds me a lot of Gene Dowling's recording from "The English Tuba"

I really like this, but I have to say (and I'm guessing that, on a tuba forum, there aren't really going to be disagreements) that I think the tuba works with the accompaniment better. The cello sound gets swallowed up in the orchestra.

I like it, but the cello needs a low B natural extension. Changing octaves right there kind of messes up the line.

I know Mr. Pokorny has been bugging Yo-Yo Ma to do this for quite some time. Maybe this will help in his fight!

I just wonder why play part of a tuba concerto on cello when there is already so much great music for that instrument?

To my ear will always sound best on tuba :wink:
