Did Conn make a German style rotary at one point, or is this guy off the mark?

This seller is kinda off the mark though

When I asked the seller if the tuba was in BBb or CC, he answered "both". Being that the CC/BBb configuration an uncommon one is (lets leave the "history of the long whole step 5th valve" discussion out of this), I naturally inquired as to the mechanics of the beasts. Are we looking at two interchangeable tuning slides, for ex.
I've yet to receive an answer.

This guy is clueless. I wouldn't bid $50 because of the complete lack of cler information. Of course, it's worth more than $50 as a parts horn but I don't need parts.

The tuba in question is without doubt a BBb horn. Taking two feet out of the horn to make it play in CC would not be practical. (I didn't say 'impossible'.. but it would be quite a chore.)pjv wrote:When I asked the seller if the tuba was in BBb or CC, he answered "both".
