The next version of BBS will take care of most spammers, for a while! The new one will also have the ability to force reactivation. That should be good for users that have never logged in their account. Purging the accounts created by spammers is possible, although it may take a while...

As a long-time lurker who checks in daily:

Please, don't ditch the true aficionados when you toss the trolls.

The management of this site is tremendous, and under-celebrated.

I'll hoist one to you this weekend, in my pup tent by the (not-quite-swim-able) Northern Atlantic, and as soon as I get home, after a quick pee, and probably a car repair, I'll read the latest postings.

The joy and community you provide for those of us who see every band from the back is immeasurable.

Deepest Thanks.

I'm not sure, but what I do know is that the bots have hit here for a long time. It may have to do with how many hits the board gets during the day. I can go to Google and type in TubeNet and find the board within a couple of hits. I can't do that with my own board yet after 13 pages of searching on Google. But also, I haven't been pestered by any bots............yet.
