Cosma Concerto in Athens...
After much waiting, searching, and negotiating, the accompaniment finally arrived this week in GA. So, officially this time, I will be doing the second and third movements of the Vladimir Cosma Euphonium Concerto with the University of Georgia Wind Ensemble and Director of Bands John Lynch. Concert is April 24th, at the Hugh Hodgson Concert Hall in UGA's Performing Arts Center. I know it's a Thursday night, but admission is free and I'd love to see a tubenetter or two there!

Success!
The Wind Ensemble's final program of the season went very well last night, a concert that included Stravinsky's Symphonies of Wind Instruments and Susan Botti's Cosmosis in addition to the very difficult accompaniment for the Cosma. Clips are right at the top of my acidplanet page:

It's only available through the publishers as a rental, which royally sucks. Evidently, the agents are in France, but the music is only in The Hague. It was a real pain in the sphincter to get it here, and it cost a pretty penny as well. Maybe UNCG had a better experience, I know they've got the orchestra parts right now.....MatthewMireles wrote:Your recordings sound great congratulations!
Where did you find an arrangement for the Cosma with Wind Ensemble?
