The Yamaha Jim Self is basically a Miraphone C4 rim with a C3 cup, so it's deeper. I use the C4 on my B&S F and the Self on my RM-43 with no problem going back and forth. I'm not the most sensitive when it comes to mouthpieces, but those two are a very good match. I prefer the Yamaha Jim Self to the Marc Jim Self, but that's just me.
I think the Marcinkowitz N4 Tommy Johnson is very close to the C4. I remember Tommy talking about the difference and the making of the N4. He was playing a C4 when they designed the mouthpiece. I hope that's right.
Take a look at these new Giddings and Webster mouthpieces that are advertised on this site. I was never one to be picky about mouthpieces until I ordered the Bayamo. Stainless steel is the greatest thing to happen to mouthpieces since gold plating. Today I orded the Matanuska. If I was looking to find a C4 type, I'd look at the Bora and the Matanuska, and maybe email Ivan Giddings for more info.
