Here are the ground rules:
You are in an enclosed area roughly the size of a basketball court
There are no weapons or foreign objects
Everyone is wearing a cup (so no kicks to the groin)
The children are merciless and will show no fear
If a child is knocked unconscious, he is "out." The same goes for you.

Where were you going to run?

You don't have any kids, do you? "Tiring them out" is much easier said than done, particularly when you cross the old "40" barrier.

Ok, let's talk methods here. I'd back into a corner of the basketball court, and keep them at bay with karate kicks. Any one who came into the Quarter-Circle-of-Doom would get the poop kicked out of them. One by one, they'd be down and unconscious.

Maybe some of ya'll Macho Guys would prefer to stand in the center of the court and take on comers from all sides....but IQ counts for something here, doesn't it?

It's too bad that they don't evaluate strategies, too.

I score 23, and I have NO balance...
Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Crap. I only scored 13. But I'm old and fat and they didn't allow firearms.

I guess it's the motherly instinct kicking in preventing me from beating up more children.

It's a common myth that children have endless energy, but, they simply have less mass and are more efficient with their energy. Given that Force = Mass * Velocity (F=MV), the attacking horde of children won't pack much of a punch but they *might* be able to keep up with your evasion technique. Besides, if they organized, they could take turns chasing you around the gym while some of them rested, thus wearing you out. I say go right at them while your energy level is highest.

Even out here among the toothless wonders, force equals mass times acceleration (acceleration being the derivative of velocity with respect to time).

But it doesn't change your conclusion any at all.

I loved physics and only liked differential calculus. And as we all know, velocity is not the same thing as speed.

Yer right. I was thinking more about kinetic energy (K.E.= ½ mv2) and cross-wired my own head. Besides, Newton never had to fight off a horde of 5-year olds, did he?

Only "liked" calculus? What would Dr. Jones say?

Only "liked" calculus? What would Dr. Jones say? Oh, that's right. You did theoretical math.

Neither is mass the same thing as weight. Just ask the ground crew of the Goodyear blimp.
