45 SLP hard case
Does anyone have some suggestions on a good flight case for the MW 45 slp, besides the thousand-dollar aluminum MW case?

Woodwind/Brasswind has the aluminum flight trunks for the 45SLP listed at $995 as of October 4.cc_tuba_guy wrote:$1000? I've got a 2155 and I priced those cases thru Woodwind/ Brasswind and those were about $400.

I have a Meinl Weston aluminum flight trunk for my 45SLP. I bought it off of this board a few months ago. I believe that it was originally built for a 2145, but the previous owner re-did the interior to accomidate the various tubas he owned over the years while in the gig bags. He re-did all of the hardware too and made it a much more functional and substantial flight trunk. I have yet to fly with it, and mine isn't "stock," but it seems like an excellent case.
A mid-size Walt Johnson case is listed on their website as being $795

Anvil Cases are another option.

I had an Anvil case built around my CC tuba while in the gig bag and couldn't be happier with it. The case has seen a lot of use and the horn has never been damaged.
