Loading Avatar from machine.

Post by bububassboner »

I have a Jpeg on my computer that I would like to use as an avatar but when I try to load in onto tubenet it does nothing. I'm not sure but I think the file is to big so what would I need to do to make it the right size? I'm not very computer smart so if you can explain this to me in simple and small words that would be great.
Thanks in advance.

The size limit for avatars is 80 x 80 pixels and no larger than 35K in size. I use a program (free download) called 'Easy Thumbnails' to resize. If you have photoshop or some other program that deals with pictures, you can probably use that.

Here's a link to Easy Thumbnails if interested:

it's only about 1 meg in size

Also, any standard photo manipulation software should have a sizing function that helps you get it down to avatar size.
