I may be the new owner of a 186 BBb. If so, I intend to use it on the road and need a case for it. I know of this unitec http://www.wwbw.com/Unitec-Tuba-and-Sou ... 0241.music" target="_blank" target="_blank" target="_blank
I'm wondering what other "standard" cases there are out there.
Thanks.
Peace.

Every case for a school-owned 186 I've seen is its appropriate MTS hardshell (I forgot which one in particular). It's a pretty good case, if ya' ask me.

Re: Please suggest some 186 road case options
I have a wonderful shipping trunk that was made in the 60's for my 186. My 186 & case is at Lee's shop and I may not need the case anymore. Lee could probably hook you up with a picture if your interested. My guess on dementions: 46X24X30. The horn sits in a saddle and when the top closes, the horn is clamped in place and insures no presure on the bell. I used this case on several bus trips chicago/pensacola and never worried about any damage.
