Is it possible to issue rss feeds with the new software as it was with the old one?
It is a feature I really miss - sometimes post subjects aren't descriptive enough so I find myself looking a threads I'm not interested in or, what is worse, missing interesting discussions that have wandered off-topic.

Re: RSS feed
Maybe a silly question, but what exactly is an RSS feed? I see sites that have those but have never really explored what they are. Thanks!

Re: RSS feed
An RSS feed for a site like TubeNet would a XML document containing an entry for each post, including its subject, date&time, the forum in which it is posted and either the first lines of the text or the full text.
I gather a lot of RSS feeds in an RSS reader on my computer, thus seeing the latest news items in a few online newspapers, my friends' blogs and (at least using the old forum software) the latest posts on TubeNet. The reader application rereads the feeds to which I have subscribed every few minutes, so I can instantly see whether there have been new posts or not without having to browse through several dozen webpages.
I like it, anyway...

Re: RSS feed
I also agree. Being a new user, the sheer number of topics is a little overwhelming, and a customizable feed would help to narrow it down to what I'm looking for.
