Euphonium brass band excerpt collections?

Post by red0radio0head »

Hey all,

I'm trying to get my brass band chops up, and I was wondering if there are any collections of euph excerpts for brass band out there. If not, can anyone name some of the top excerpts that I should get my hands on?? Thanks!!

Heather,

There is a book that has most of the harder bits from the major test pieces (it's actually a bit out of print, but they have most of the hard stuff in there) from the standard catalog. Just For Brass is going to be carrying this series, but we don't have it yet.

It's called 'Our Heritage' and you want the 2nd volume, which has the Euphonium solos in it. It's available from Mostyn Music here:

Hope this helps.
