Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

UPDATE:
I can't sleep, I have to work at 5AM for 8 hours and probably over, and I seem to have this small pain in my shoulder...
Must be from practicing my range on the tuba and bass trombone.

Re: Update Update
As I see it, if the neighbors on the other side decide to call now, the guy will think it was you who called. Sometimes these things aren't so easy to resolve. Are they?Greg wrote: Anyway, we decided he should stop mowing after 10pm and I am back in bed now. I don't want to call the police....but dang it, why don't the neighbors on the other side call?!?!?! Then I don't have to be the bad guy!!!

Re: Update Update
After a recent chat with the neighbor across the street (entirely friendly, nothing sinister going on), walking away, I noticed that I had the Bursa Thunder 380 parked in the chest pocket of the bib overalls, grip sticking out prominently. I forgot it was there. Oh well ... maybe it's good that neighbors think you might be a little unbalanced. Keep people guessing a little bit.

With primo conditions I get about 30 yards on the tuba, then with the trombone I get about 40; I throw it like a javelin.dwaskew wrote:depends. how much yardage you getting these days? if it's more with tuba than trombone, then the pain might be from this.Kayla wrote:

I am off tomorrow after staying up 24+ hours, and I get the paycheck Wednesday. HOPEFULLY it's a nice one so I can talk mother into helping me with the bass trombone.

Due to the shape and weight, I find more distance with a discus-type throw, myself.Kayla wrote:With primo conditions I get about 30 yards on the tuba, then with the trombone I get about 40; I throw it like a javelin.dwaskew wrote:depends. how much yardage you getting these days? if it's more with tuba than trombone, then the pain might be from this.Kayla wrote:

Re: Update Update
Bass trombone and tuba, both thrown like a javelin? They have completely different shapes and balances, I would recommend different techniques for one. For the bone, stick with javelin. For the tuba...can you attach a sling to it?

I added to my collection of Japanese water stones a 12,000 grit Shapton. Now, let's see what I make real sharp.

I took the biggest poop of my life yesterday. It was a single stool about the size of my forearm and came out covered in blood. Thankfully it came out very quickly.

That is the single most hilarious thing I have ever read on here.
Jeez...what does that say about my maturity level?

Re: Update Update
Hey Marty,
If you are getting older, pound a little prune juice a time or two a week. It doesn't have to hurt that much.
To us geezers, "getting a little action" unfortunately means our prune juice is working.
I have learned to pop two "Beano" tabs before a gig. If the band has to play to a empty joint, I don't want it to be my fault.
