I believe Tubenet has much more good than bad. To skip the good for the bad is your choice. It is not mine.

so I have started using that foe button thing. What disappoints me is that these people can still see my posts and criticize me and do not want me here, yet they refuse to block me so they have the option of not reading my posts.

Does this mean I can say all kinds of things about you and you won't even get to read them and throw a temper tantrum. I'm glad to hear it. To me, the temper tantrums are what would embarrass me about Tubenet.

I want to learn, and I know asking questions is going to help, unless they are stupid.

I have been trying to edit these posts as well as possible for effective communication and spelling. Please don't criticize me unless it is horrid from this point on, I don't criticize peoples spelling and grammar, and there are some on here that are worse than mine.

Maybe I should join the players that actually play.....I never have seen the falcone finalists on here, I dont see anyone from Indiana University, University of Michigan, Michigan State, Arizona State, etc. on here, and they are hardcore players who can hold professional jobs..........maybe being off tubenet helps them improve??????

Have you not noticed that some of the giants of the tuba and euphonium world post, here. More importantly, they lurk here. Do we need to name them? Most Tubenet regulars know who they are. Regardless, posting on Tubenet doesn't mean that one is negligent in their practice. It is neither practical, nor beneficial, to practice all of one's waking hours. At least that is true in my opinion. Learning usually requires more than one source.

Well, it's good to see you back, Tubashaman. I realize you probably won't even be able to read this post, but so what? I believe Tubenet posts should be reclassified. One of those classifications could be "humor."

I have found tubenet to be a reliable source of information, however I feel there are too many people rude people and jerks on here. People, including me, who should be practicing and doing other stuff than being on here. I exploded mentally with a few of these people and a a solution have added them to the foe list.

In other words, you couldn't kick the addiction.

Your friend's syndrome is not unique. People are ashamed to share commonalities with you, James.

Next point: grammar. Language is to be used for effective communications. In my college classes (which generally consist of less than 20 people on average), I just do not ask questions because THERE ARE such things as stupid questions because people do not understand (or care to understand) what is being asked. I want to learn, and I know asking questions is going to help, unless they are stupid. I have been trying to edit these posts as well as possible for effective communication and spelling. You're right. Your linguistic facility is not the worst I have seen on Tubenet. However, do not delude yourself into thinking that there is no shame in second best.

Interesting since Abilene Christian University is such a major name in the tuba world, too.
