Who cares? It isn't stout!

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Re: Who made the beer pic
I have a big poster with this picture on it, that I saw in a bar in Copenhagen. It is a beer commercial from Carlsberg. Don't know if that is the original source of the picture.
If somebody is interested, I actually contacted Carlsberg and got an extremely high res picture file from them with this picture.

Re: Who made the beer pic
For those of you who asked about the picture:
My main labtop broke down (the damn HD is dead) half an hour after posting here, and I don't think I can rescue any files from that. I have a couple of old computers lying around and the picture is on one of those old computers. Might take a couple of days to find it, but I will get back to you as soon as I do.

Re: Who made the beer pic
Could someone please clarify this for me? Is the tuba player in this picture playing the tuba(as tubashaman suggests), or is he drinking from it. I always thought of it as a giant beer stein. By the way, I know tubashaman cannot answer this question himself since I am on his foes list. I hope I made the top of his list. I know he will not be viewing this post.
This gets me to thinking(a dangerous activity for one not accustomed to it). Since I am on tubashaman's foe list, I guess I can post just about anything about tubashaman and he won't even know what it was. Perhaps this is a good use of the foe option. Anyone else out there want to put me on their foe list so I can post nasty things about them?

Since I'm obviously not on his foe list, I was wondering if there's a "reverse-foe" option on this thing?

And does the foe list work for quotes, too?TubaRay wrote:Could someone please clarify this for me? Re: Who made the beer pic
Yes sir!!
My HD was not more damaged than I successfully rescued a lot of my files. The beer pic is here. I seem to remember that it was larger, but it is only 1769x2483 (1.6MB). And the beer label is Tuborg.
The little funny symbol on the bell near the valves is a logo for a brass shop in Copenhagen called "Scandinavian Brass and Woodwind"
On the top it says: "Tuborg - does something for/to the music"
It is though large enough to see that the tuba player looks like it is Howard Johnson, and the label "Wibroe, Duckert & Partners" is visible too.
Just PM your Email address to me and I will send the picture to you.
Here is a lower res copy of the picture in question.

Re: Who made the beer pic
I don't seem to have any trouble with my "older generation 641". The High school I graduated from had a newer one, and that could get stuffy at times.I just do not understand the problem. I have never had issues with these tubas, save for the stuffiness and bad upper register on the ones with the newer leadpipe. We must blow the instrument differently.
And as for the used horn buying, all three of my horns are used; all three play just fine; you just have to watch out when buying them used.

I said, "good luck."

I'm currently starting a faux foe list, if anyone's interested in being on that oneTodd S. Malicoate wrote:Since I'm obviously not on his foe list, I was wondering if there's a "reverse-foe" option on this thing?
