Yes, but was it as good as those scrambled eggs of legend?

Yo man, I made some of them and cut up a piece of pita bread. Just drop the eggs right into the bread to make a little sammich. They are a little on the mooshy side, but I won't complain!

We knew this would happen eventually. The hold on reality is tenuous at best, and moreso for some than for others. Occasionally, the fingers slip and the veneer of sanity just vanishes over the edge. After two weeks of rebreathing his own carbon dioxide, Rackley has asphyxiated himself and gone delusional. I just hope the air-conditioner guys get there soon.

Update:

Wade has left the building.

Instead of talking to your plants, if you yelled at them would they still grow, but only to be troubled and insecure?

Thank you. And I just paraded across my den and back to the computer.

Now isn't that special?

Update:

I went from teaching marching band to my MS/HS classes to now being a part of th marching band staff at UND while I'm pursing my master's degree  Not sure if my old(er) body can keep up with these 18-20 year olds any more with that Conn 20K on my shoulder.

My guess is that you will do fine. You will probably find it a little more difficult to rebound from the fatigue, though. Now don't ask me how I would know such a thing.

The AC guy was not able to locate the correct induction blower motor. It is in Birmingham and will be shipped. We will be gone all day tomorrow (7:00 AM - 11:00 PM) teaching at a school about two and a half hours from home.

Our cats are going to be very unhappy. I don't know what to do. I know that it is cool right now and that they are built to survive in the wild in pretty darn high temperatures. But I am still upset by this. The AC will not be repaired until Thursday or Friday (maybe Monday, even).

My poor cats. They are indoor only, have never been outside, are terrified of the outdoors, and if released into the yard would freak and run away and hide (this happened once). They would get hopelessly lost for at least a few days and know nothing about cars and mean kids and such. So they stay in and bake all day tomorrow. Damn. I am certain that they will be fine, but still - damn.

Poor cats.

I never owned a cat, but I did have other warm-blooded animals that didn't take to the heat too well. What I did for them was to fill a gallon jug with water, leave it in the freezer until it was solid, and then put it somewhere for them to lay against. Rabbits, ducks, geese loved it - why not cats?

Because they're cats. It's obvious that you haven't owned one. :D

Update:

Kennels often provide indoor cat accommodations and are usually air-conditioned. The question is whether the cat would rather tolerate the heat or the smallish cage. My cat would certainly prefer the heat, not least because it would allow her to complain incessantly to someone who she believes cares.

I love tropical storm Fay. She lets me swim down my street. Or go tubing down my street. Or play water polo in my street. I think you catch my drift or flow or current. (Another water joke for you land-lubbers)

so this is an update with a request:

I have a little problem growing, and need some help, if at all possible. The issue is, I'm out of time. I don't mean for a project, or meeting deadlines. I don't have enough time to get everything done. My request, is that if you have an extra 30-60 minutes lying around, could you send it to me? I'll even take 10-15 min. snippets, if you've got 'em.

The roomba purchase has helped with all this, but still need to find some more time each day, but have nothing really to cut out. (unless you count tubenet, and that's my laugh time.......)

any offers will be accepted.

In my opinion, whoever said, "Time is money." was almost correct. Time is more valuable than money. I can certainly understand where you're coming from.

You could always get a Scooba to go along with the Roomba so you don't have to mop the floors either...That'd be good for 15-20 minutes.
